Speaking Up for Israel

Speaking of Israel, I have been touched by some recent videos brought to my attention (thanks to Mitch and Karin L.) that underline the baseless anti-semetic sentiments harbored by so many - from mainstream influencers to renowned academic institutions. In Indivisible, 25 academics from Yale University traveled to Israel to bear witness to a second, less visible attack - the attack on Israeli academics and institutions.  And more recently, Bill Maher’s monologue, No Jews, No News was striking in its candor in pointing out the illogical pervasiveness of antisemitism, citing that the problem stems from “you either don’t read or you don’t care about your own hypocrisy”.  I applaud these voices as they encourage others to speak up - including me.
