“I Do”
Wedding bells are ringing non-stop for me and my beloved. Wedding #6 of 7 (June to September) is in the books and muse I must. We’ve reached that critical age when the children of our friends and family are tying the knot, and because we’re so close with the host families, each wedding weekend feels truly special. Luckily the summer wedding venues have all been domestic: Napa Valley with a wine tasting outing; Dripping Springs, TX on a ranch; the Boston Public Library; Sonoma Valley with a redwood forest minutes away; Westport, MA where the ceremony and reception took place on private properties; and Breckeridge/A Basin, CO where we enjoyed the wedding and reception at 11,500 feet elevation! Wedding vows were said publicly and privately; rabbis, best friends or siblings officiated, speeches were great and others, not so much. But at each wedding, the deep love between bride and groom was evident. Witnessing the union of two people committing to each other surrounded by their loved ones is a blessing and an honor. “I Do” indeed!
