“Disney” on Acquired Podcast

Can we all agree  that the Disney empire has been a constant source of entertainment for all of us from birth to present day?  From the iconic movies - Snow White was the first - to the parks to their streaming service, Disney Plus, Walt Disney started an animation business that grew into a worldwide media phenomenon. Hosts Ben and David take us on two 4 hour deep dives of Disney.  Part one begins with Walt who went from illustrating characters to creating the first Disney movies and theme park, but had plenty of business catastrophes along the way.  Part two starts in 1984 and takes us to the present. We learn of the innovations, the acquisitions and also of  the failures of the Disney enterprise over the past 50 years.  The Eisner - Pixar era is especially fascinating!
